Shah Abudl Latif’s ancestors had migrated to Sindh from Hirat. Shah Latif was a great saintly poet of Sindh His poetry is simple and moving. The collection of Shah’s poetry is called Shah jo Risalo. He waas a muscian too. He made music simple and invented a muscial instrument called ‘tambooro’. Shah latif spent the las part of his life on a Bhit. There was a lake near the Bhit. He spent most of his time there in prayers, devotion or composing verses in God’s praise Shah Bhittai died on the Bhit and was buried there A shrine was Built over his grave where his urs is held on 14th Safar annually. People love his songs even today and respect him very much.

His collection of poems was so valued that it was translated into many languages and is called “Risalo of Shah Latif.”
